  • OUR PROCESS

    From careful selection of mature agave plants to natural fermentation and distillation, Makech Royale prioritizes environmental stewardship and product purity. We partner with a local family farm that combines sustainable and organic practices and honors the centuries-old legacy of tequila-making in the magical Jalisco highlands of Mexico.

    SOURCING & HARVESTING

    We source our Agave Azul (Tequilana Weber) from the beautiful Jalisco highlands, renowned for its iron-rich red clay soil and temperate climate. When mature, these magnificent agaves can weigh 150 pounds.

    COOKING & PROCESSING

    The agave is slowly cooked in a high-pressure steam autoclave to extract the honey. The honey is then separated and processed individually.

    FERMENTATION

    Natural fermentation with organic yeast occurs in fiber-free stainless steel tanks, preserving the agave's delicate flavors. No additives are used in our production process. We use aeration (exposure to air) to enhance the tequila's flavor and aroma.

    DISTILLATION

    Our tequila is distilled three times in a fiber-free stainless steel still with a copper coil, ensuring a smooth and refined spirit.
